Helena Giller, 94 of Long Branch passed away peacefully Monday, August 24 at home.
She was born in 1926 in Russia where she was raised before moving to America during WWII with her husband to escape the Holocaust.
Helena opened her business American Beauty Creations in West Long Branch in 1972 and remained proprietor until she finally retired in 2003.
She enjoyed working on her garden with her son, and when they wanted to get away, they traveled to Saratoga together and visited the spas for a few days.
Helena was an avid animal lover, and enjoyed her organic and holistic lifestyle.
She was predeceased by her husband Samuel J. Giller in 1971 and her long time companion of 33 years, Edward Delekta. She is survived by her loving son William Pytel of Long Branch.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 2 at 1pm at Glenwood Cemetery, Monmouth Road, West Long Branch.
