Charles A. Fiumefreddo (Age 87) passed away on December 29,2020.  He was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ and with his wife Joan raised their family before moving to West End, NJ when he retired.

Charles was an alumnus of Bayonne High School and earned a Bachelors of Science degree from St.Peter’s College.  Upon his graduation from St. Peter’s he attended New York University Graduate School of Business Administration.

He was predeceased by his parents Charles & Alice Fiumefreddo.  Surviving are his wife Joan of 65 years, daughter Joanne Fiumefreddo Lewicki, son Charles Fiumefreddo III, son-in-law Michael Lewicki and daughter-in-law Patricia Fiumefreddo. He also has six grandchildren Jonathan, Marc & Matthew Lewicki and Michelle, Charles IV & Anthony Fiumefreddo and four great grandchildren Natalie, Luke, Cole & Jake Lewicki.

Charles was formerly Chairman of the Morgan Stanley Group of Investment Companies and a founder and former Chairman of Morgan Stanley Trust Co & Morgan Stanley Advisors.  He also served as a member of the board of governors of the Investment Company Institute in Washington DC and a member of its Executive Committees.  He was a former director of the Bayonne Medical Center and a trustee of St. Peter’s College in addition to being a life member of St. John Paul II Lyceum and Star of the Sea Council #371 Knights of Columbus.

Due to Covid-19 precautions a private funeral mass for family members will be held at St. Michael’s Church, 800 Ocean Avenue, Long Branch, NJ on Saturday January 2^nd .
