Albert J. Parlato, 77, of Manchester, died Friday, March 31st surrounded by his loving family.
Albert was born in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from Lincoln High School, and later joined and was a proud member of the U.S. Navy where he was stationed in Spain during the Vietnam War. In 1968, after returning from Spain, he married the love of his life, Dolores in Mt. Carmel Church in Bayonne, NJ. They would go on to raise their family, happily married, for 54 years.
Albert was an avid NY Giants fan; he was a 40-year season ticket holder and attended two super bowls. He enjoyed playing golf, running marathons, the NY Mets and a stiff glass of Johnnie Walker Black (light on the rocks). He found joy in traveling all over the world, Hawaii, Alaska, Spain, Australia, Italy and Tahiti; but, he was specifically fond of going to Disney World with his grandchildren. He loved to listen to 50’s music and was famous for his ability to Jitter Bug.
Albert was kind and humble, quiet and loving, god-fearing with an unparalleled sense of integrity. He will be dearly missed by all those who were privileged to know him.
Albert is survived by his loving wife, Dolores; his daughters Denise Parlato of Maryland, and Deborah Stazak and her husband Shawn of Lincroft; sisters Jeannette McCallister of Lakewood and JoAnn Parlato of Lincroft; and his grandchildren Victoria and Ethan Stazak, and Jacob Stoddard.
