Anastasios Kourmouzis, 62 of South Amboy, died on Monday, December 6.
He was born in Kamalata, Greece and when he was sixteen years old, he moved on his own to the United States in search of a better life.
Anastasios worked hard. He worked several jobs in restaurants before being able to do what he loved, selling produce.. Anastasios was the creator and owner of Union Produce for many years. He enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling to Greece, cooking for friends and family, and driving classic cars. Most of all, he enjoyed the company of close friends and family.
He is predeceased by his father Stavros and his brother Nikos Kourmouzis.
Surviving are his sons George Kourmouzis and Alexandros Kourmouzis of South Amboy, his mother Elleni and sister Voula.
Visitation Sunday, December 12 from 1pm-5pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A funeral home service will be offered at 2pm. Disposition will be private.
