Though you teased me endlessly about being left on the front porch by gypsies, I always looked up to you. You were my protector through Europe, and I forgive you for your transgretions. I know you are with Dad and Stuart, and I will think of you often as I live out my days, and I hope to touch half as many people as you have obviously touched. I love and miss you.

my brother, my last words to you were "you are loved. you are deeply loved". It was no lie. Just look and see the tremendous amount of love expressed in the messages below and the number of hearts you touched. You'll always be my big brother. Rest well Andrew. We'll meet again in the next life. Maybe I'll be the big brother next time! :D Yours forever, Seth

I did not know Andrew Nefeld but I do know Seth. I have taken the time to read all of the tributes written here . I wish I had known him he sounds like a wonderful person. He will live on in his students and family. His kindness and ability with people has already saved a young persons life from not believing in themselves. this i know because they have written all over thes pages. RIP and condolences

I co-taught with Andrew quite a few years at Thompson and got to know him that way. He was really smart about alot of things and told me so many interesting stories about his family- Jeremy- the twins- the triplets- the Beatles- Alec Baldwin- Russia- the one that got away - kids he could just sense were floundering - kids he kept in touch with from years ago he was so proud -weddings graduations of theirs- his idea to get into an automotile repair business when he retired because I said he'd be too young to just stop working at 55- he was a great guy and I am so glad fate brought me into his classroom daily because of our hours of common planning time and sharing lunch in the Teachers Room with our friends. His was a life well lived as evidenced by all of these tributes. RIP Andrew- Ann

Eventhough I wasn't one of your favorite students in middle school, you taught me again years later and you were truly kind and helpful to me during a trying time in my life. RIP Mr. Newfeld
