My sympathy to the Bean family for their loss. I always enjoyed hearing my Dad's continued friendship with them and I could hear updates on Tommy and the family from Mrs. Bean.
Deborah Sbarra left a message on April 1, 2025:
Dear Tom , the children and grandchildren: It was an honor and a joy to know Anne as we raised children together in town and years beyond. I am so sorry for your loss but with Anne in your life, you know you were loved. May God's hand give you strength at this difficult time.
Kris Bean left a message on April 1, 2025:
Mama Bean was a true force of nature — bold, spirited, and unapologetically herself. She had a strength that anchored our family and a presence that could light up (or shake up) any room. Fiercely loyal and deeply loving, she showed us how to live with passion, purpose, and heart. I only knew Anne for the past eight years as her daughter-in-law, but in that time, we shared so many laughs, adventures, and meaningful moments. From holding baby goats on a black sand beach in Maui, to always squeezing into the back of a rental car on our trips, and even watching her develop a newfound love for recycling — we were always laughing. Anne was strong, full of life, and never afraid to speak her mind. She loved fiercely and had a way of making her presence known. I’m so grateful for the memories we made — the stories, the laughter, and even the tough love that came with knowing someone so bold and full of heart. Her legacy lives on in the strength she passed down, the stories we’ll keep telling, and the love she had for her grandchildren. To say she will be missed is an understatement. She leaves a space that can never truly be filled — a gap left by someone whose fire and presence touched everyone she knew. We will carry her spirit with us, always.

Kasey and I send our deepest condolences for your loss. I have fond memories of Mrs. Bean coming to greet me while she was gardening as Matt and I played basketball in the backyard. She always made me feel genuinely welcomed, often asking about school or relationships with a warm smile. She was a truly wonderful person who raised a remarkable family.

It is so hard to write this message , since I cannot believe it is real that Anne has left us. Anne was a dear friend for over 40 years. There are so many memories that have filled those years. Fun events and home parties will always be remembered but most of all her love for people in need and her unending support of causes dear to her will be her legacy. Her devotion to the special needs community and FRA in particular has always been overwhelming. But the list does not stop there . Her support of the Lions Club , CBA and the Parish of St Mary’s will be remembered fondly. On a more personal note , I was always amazed at her selfless attention to the elderly. When she would bring her young children to visit the retired Brothers at CBA , I was awe struck . This influence carried over to her children and their devotion to their grandparents. I would often remark to her how this was a special gift she had imparted to her children. I will miss her dearly for her friendship and all the wisdom she has given me. Knowing Anne has a been a cherished gift and she will live in my heart forever.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Anne’s family. I worked with Anne for many years at DeLaSalle Hall. She was such a blessing to the Brothers and all residents who lived there. She was kind, caring, funny, friendly, patient, knowledgeable and professional. She was everything you would want in an exceptionable nurse. May her memories live in our hearts. Fly high with the Angels Anne.

As Anne's chair yoga teacher, I spent many enjoyable hours working with her on flexibility, strength and balance and chatting about all kinds of topics, especially nonprofits dedicated to serving persons with disabilities. I turned her on to Oasis, and invited her, with her husband Tom, to join me and my husband at the Vogel for Christmas Midnight Catechism. She was selected to play 'Mary' on stage with a big cast of other audience members, and we were exhausted from laughing so much. May her memory be a blessing to her family and the community she served. I feel fortunate to have been invited into her life.

Lucille Castro left a message on March 31, 2025:
My prayers and thoughts go to Anne’s family at this very sad time. Anne was definitely a “force”, a loving presence who made a difference in people’s lives. And I have many good memories of the time we worked together at Saint Mary’s. We also had a few memories that always provided a good laugh! Anne also helped me appreciate my somewhat ignored Polish heritage. I just feel so sad that Anne’s grandchildren will not get to know this strong loving babcia. I pray that her family feel her presence as they continue the legacy that Anne inspired in them.
