Susan Duckers was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world too soon early Thanksgiving morning November 25 at age 74, leaving us to reflect on the things that truly matter: the love we have for each other.
How can you summarize a lifetime of love in a few short paragraphs? You can’t. But we will tell you that she was a true partner. You want someone who not only has your back but loves you with all their heart. She was devoted and lived life true to her values of kindness and appreciation.
She went out of her way to include people and even animals, you never felt lonely if Sue was around. She was fun, funny, and taught us to laugh and love from the deepest depths of the soul. She had an eye for design and a talent for making delicious meals look easy. She was honest and forthright and always shared what she was thinking. Conversation flowed easily and she loved to explore the deeper topics of life. She was always full of ideas and encouragement, and she wanted nothing more than for everyone around her to be happy.
Her life’s work was largely raising her family. We always knew we could count on her to pamper us. She left behind a loving husband of 36 years; two daughters; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and countless extended family and friends. We wish everyone in the world could be as lucky to be loved as she loved us.
Funeral services and interment, Tuesday, Nov. 30th, 10 am at Brigadier William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery.
