Barbara Goldstein, 95 of Tinton Falls passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2022.
She was born in 1927 to the late Gisella and David Geiger in NYC where she was raised.
After high school, Barbara attended secretarial school and worked as a typist for a little while before she married her first husband Sidney Gard. She lived in Bayside, Queens, for 7 years and then moved to Fair Lawn, NJ and resided therefor 11 years. Barbara resided in Lake Worth, FL for over 40 years before finally settling in Tinton Falls for the last 3 years.
She was known to many as “the Princess”. Barbara never left the house without her nails done beautifully and even played golf without ever chipping them. Barbara also enjoyed playing mahjong and canasta, doing crosswords, watching Jeopardy and the Wheel of Fortune, and especially had a good time going out to dinner.
She is predeceased by her first husband Sidney Gard, her second husband Jack Goldstein, and her brothers Arthur and Lewis Geiger.
Surviving are her children Norma and her husband Michael McGarr of Tinton Falls, Bruce Gard of Ocean, and her four grandchildren Danielle, Lauren, Beth, and Steven.
Services are being privately handled by the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home.
In lieu of traditional remembrances, Barbara’s family asks with gratitude that memorial contributions in her name be made to the American Heart Association or Plant a Tree in Israel.
