Barbara T. Gorman, 83 of Tinton Falls, died Monday July 14th at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Gorman was born in Winooski, Vt. and had lived in Long Branch, Oakhurst and West Long Branch before moving to Seabrook Village in 2005. She was a communicant of St. Jerome Church, West Long Branch. Mrs. Gorman retired as the Tax Assessor for the Borough of Tinton Falls. Her husband William J. Gorman died in 2002. Surviving are her children, William and Christine Gorman of Milton, Vt., Thomas and Carol Gorman, of Brielle and Helen Gorman and Anthony Melone of Long Branch; her brother,Mel Sheppard and his partner Mike Plumpton of Ottowa, CA, four grandchildren, Kevin and Heather Gorman, Scott, Danielle and Thomas Gorman; two great grandchildren, Colin and Emma Gorman. Mrs. Gorman's funeral mass will be celebrated Sat. July 19th, 10 am at St. Jerome Church, 254 Wall Street, West Long Branch. Entombment service will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. Those wishing may make contributions in memory of Mrs. Gorman to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or a charity of your choice.
