Brian Denegar, 54, passed away Monday December 7th at home. Brian was born in Long Branch and was a lifelong resident of Eatontown. He joined the Eatontown Fire Department as a teenager in 1980. He was passionate about his activities with the fire department; working his way through the ranks up to Chief as well as Captain to the Eatontown First Aid. He was instrumental in the Fire Prevention programs that were presented to the Eatontown School system and worked for the Borough as a Fire Inspector and Code Enforcer. He was employed by the Earle Naval Weapons Fire Station and retired in December 2011 as Captain. Brian was a member of Lutheran Church of the Reformation in West Long Branch, a member of the Eatontown Elks Lodge and an avid Steelers fan. Brian was predeceased by his parents Robert & Juanita Denegar and his brother Robert Denegar in 2008. Surviving are his sisters, brother and brother-in-law, Barbara Denegar, Eatontown, B.J. and Gary Kosulavage, Tinton Falls, and Bernia Denegar, Eatontown; and his niece and nephews, Dana & William Reehil, Michael Kosulavage, Robert A. Denegar, Louis Denegar, and the brave and dedicated “Brothers and Sisters†of the Eatontown Fire Department and First Aid Squad. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19th at 11:00 am at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, 992 Broadway, West Long Branch.
