My condolences to the family of Dr. Choi. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. He was an excellent doctor and good friend to his patients. He seemed to love his work so much, and always wanted to help you feel at ease. He was always in a good mood, and the world has lost a really great man, doctor, and, I am sure, family man too. Thank you, Dr. Choi, for taking care of me all these years!

Dr. Choi treated three generations of my family. He was extremely helpful to me during my father's final illness, for which I will always be grateful. Our daughters got married at about the same time so we had much to share. He was a true gentleman, as patient and conscientious a doctor as you will ever find, and someone I called my friend.

To the Choi Family: My deepest sympathies to your family at the passing of Dr. Choi. He was a great doctor, teacher, and friend. I only worked for him for about 1 1/2 years but I was able tolearn a lot from him. I truly thank him for caring for my grandmother when I wasn't able to be with her, and also for taking care of my parents. He will be truly missed by all whom had the great fortune to know him. May God be with you at this sad time, and find comfort in memories of happier times.

Dear Mrs. Choi and family, I cannot express how sorry I am about the passing of Dr. Choi. I was a patient of his for over twenty years. I recently saw him a week before he had the heart attack. I was shsocked when I heard. He never seemed to change. It was my good fortune to have Doctor Choi as my physician. During those years and due to Dr Chois care and knowledge there was never anything seriously wrong with me. Every visit would always start out the same, "Tim your problem is your weight, you are to fat, less intake ok". I would always dreed those first five minutes. Dr. Choi was wonderful human being. His life was cut way to short. I am very very sorry. I will miss Dr. Choi as will the medical profession and never forget him. He was a wonderful man. My deepest condolences, Timothy J. Farrell

Though I was a relatively new patient, only 3 years, I felt as though I knew the good doctor forever. Long personalized conversations and a relaxed attitude were an honest part of his professionalism. He had a warm, comedic personality coupled with sensitivity and a genuine sense of caring for people. Though I will miss him and his enthusiasm, I will remember him and his impact for the rest of my life. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Jeff Thompson left a message on February 7, 2007:
Mrs. Choi and family My deepest condolences to you all. Like so many others, the news of Dr. Choi's heart attack and subsequent death was so very sad. As I am not going to be at the viewing or the service, it is important that you know, from my perspective, how this man, this caring and compassionate man affected me and I'm sure countless others. Dr. Choi was the only internist that had cared for me in more than 25 years. See if this next comment sounds familiar... During my first appointment with him, I wanted so much to tell him everything that was "wrong" with me. He held up his hand, sat down in a chair and asked me to walk back and forth in front of him. Then he proceeded to tell me everything that I was going to tell him! I was a Dr. Choi advocate from that day on and have trusted him and his wonderful knowledge and intuition! How lucky you were to have him in your lives all the time! I know that this is not easy for you. We are born, we live and we die. You all more than anyone else, along with me and all the others like me become the living legacies of this man - your husband, Mrs. Choi and your dad, Angela and Gene and that's a beautiful thing! Dr. Choi was so unassuming, yet he would be pleased that we remember him this way and share those special nuances that were his and his alone with as many other people as we can. Dr. Choi is at rest now. No pain and an eternity of gentleness and beauty waiting patiently for those he loved so dearly. God bless you all... Warm regards, Jeff

Dear Mrs. Choi and loved ones, I was saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Choi. He was a true professional with a sensitivity, warmth and compassion unequaled. His smile, sense of humor and genuine interest in his patients made people feel special. I observed him where I worked and can only sing his praises. He could get positive responses from patients who had withdrawn. I appreciated how he treated everyone with respect. He was skilled as a physician, but as a man, he displayed the true joy of living. He may be gone from sight, but his memory will remain. May you find comfort by knowing he touched the lives of many people. God bless you. Thelma M. Hulteen (formerly employed at MEDiCENTER)

It was with great sadness and disbelief that I read of Dr. Choi's passing. He was my doctor for over 20 years. It was very hard for me to leave his practice but I had moved and the distance to his office became a problem. On every visit, he would always ask about my son and his family. My son had also been his patient in the past. He took the time to really listen to you and you knew he was concerned about the whole person not just your problem that day. I will always remember his smile and his laughter. May God give your family strength.
