Carmela G. Gingola, 92, of Morganville, died on Thursday, March 2nd.

She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY in 1930 to the late Marie and Luigi Esposito as one of six children.

Carmela was always very outgoing and knew how to have a good time. She enjoyed playing poker, dancing, and just being an all-around entertainer. Carmela always knew that food was the secret to bringing the whole family together and was an amazing cook. She was the matriarch of her family and enjoyed her time spent with her loved ones most of all.

She is predeceased by her husband Thomas Gingola, Sr., her sons Thomas Gingola, Jr. and Carl Louis Gingola, her parents Marie and Luigi Esposito, and her five siblings Grace Addonizio, Lorenzo Esposito, Mario Esposito, Antonio Esposito, and Rose Marzella.

Surviving are her daughters Rosemarie and her husband Dan Mankes of Marlboro, and Betty Ann Gingola of Waretown, her grandchildren Ciana and her husband Blaine, Gregory, and Jordan, and great-grandchildren Maea and Walsh.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5th from 2pm – 6pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, March 6th at 10 am at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn.
