Rich Abbrecht left a message on October 29, 2015:
Mr. Fortunato taught me in 5th grade in Rumson, NJ when Hazlet didn't have schools yet. I ran into him when we worked together one summer (1969?) at Midland Glass Co. in Matawan when I was still in college. He remembered me from the 5th grade and I will always thank him for that and have remembered him fondly ever since. He was a game changer in my life. God bless him and may he rest in peace. Thank you Mr. Fortunato!

One thing this memorial does not mention is that he was also a high school teacher at Raritan High School, having retired in 1994. He was a great teacher, and he got along well with everyone. He will be missed for sure.
