Carol Lottie Linder, 85, of Wall Township passed away peacefully on April 20, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Carol was born and raised in Manhattan’s Upper West Side, and attended the City College New York . She earned her Bachelors degree and her Masters in Early Childhood Education from Jersey City State Teacher’s College. Carol began her career teaching the second grade in Dumont, NJ. In 1966 she became the owner and director of Peter Rabbit School in Cresskill, NJ. For the 32 years she owned Peter Rabbit school, she loved the children she taught, the staff she brought together, and was proud of the positive start she was able to give her students. In 1998 she retired from the school and moved to Charleston, SC with her husband, Rolf.
Carol was a Sunday School teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tenafly, NJ, ,the Reformed Church on The Hill in Cresskill, NJ, and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church on the Isle of Palms, SC. Carol loved teaching, spending time with her family, shopping, and music of all kinds.
Carol is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Rolf Linder; and her brother, Reverend Howard Parker and his wife, Patricia Parker.
Carol is survived by her daughter Dr. Denise Waldron and her husband Thomas of Holmdel, NJ and their sons, Benjamin and Nathaniel; and her nephews Howard Parker and Donald Parker of Ellwood City, Pa and their families.
At the request of the family Carol will be privately cremated and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
