Catherine M. Hunsberger, 67, of Lincroft passed away on Wednesday morning, April 12, 2017 at the St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ.

Born in Phoenixville, PA, Catherine lived in Lincroft for many years. Before her retirement, she was an elementary school teacher at St. Leo the Great School in Lincroft for over 20 years. She loved her students, the school, and the St. Leo’s community.

She and her husband Dennis were married for 45 years. Catherine was a very devoted wife and mother. She also loved to cook and bake for her family, attend Broadway shows, and travel with her family.

Catherine was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Catherine Gazzillo, and by her brother Francis Gazzillo.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Dennis, her daughters Cara Hunsberger and her husband Vincent Falivene of So. Hempstead, NY, Christine Hunsberger of NY, NY, Elizabeth Hunsberger and her fiancé Mark Christine of NY, NY, Kimberly Hunsberger of Doylestown, PA, her son Matthew Hunsberger of NY, NY, her grandchildren Harper Falivene and Lukas Falivene, her brothers Michael Gazzillo and his wife Tana of Phoenixville, PA, Thomas Gazzillo and his wife Janice of Pottstown, PA, Joseph Gazzillo and his wife Marsha of Douglassville, PA, a sister Cora Jones and her husband Charles of Collegeville, PA, and by many nieces and nephews, friends, and colleagues.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, April 18 at 10:15 A.M. at St. Leo the Great R.C. Church, 50 Hurleys Lane, Lincroft, NJ. Interment will then follow at the Fair View Cemetery, in Middletown, NJ.
