Cora M. Tomaini, 77, of Long Branch fondly known as 'MeMo' by her grandchildren and their friends passed away Monday May 9th at Ocean Medical Center, Brick Twp. She was born and raised Allenwood, Cora lived most of her life in Long Branch. She was the past President as well as other rolls of the Long Branch Chapter of Deborah Hospital Foundation since 1978. Cora was an active volunteer at the Long Branch Senior Center. For many years she was a volunteer delivering meals on wheels to the elderly and disabled. Cora worked for 35 years for the Monmouth County Board of Elections volunteering during elections in Long Branch. Cora was a member of the local chapter of the Red Hats Society. Her husband Peter R. Tomaini passed away Nov. 25th, 1991. Surviving is her daughter Darlene and her husband Guy Corrubia and her beloved grandchildren, Arielle and Guy Peter, Brick Twp. her daughter Delfina Tomaini and her husband, Rob Russin, and his daughter, Kayla, Jacksonville, Fl.; two sisters, Susanne Jost, Wall Twp. and Patricia Salles, New Brunswick; two brothers-in-laws, Hugo Tomaini, Brick Twp. and Mickey Tomaini, Long Branch. Visitation will be Thurs. May 12th, 4 to 8 PM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral services will be Fri. May 13th, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
