Daniel B. Nankervis, 71 of Atlantic Highlands, died suddenly on Wednesday, November 24.
Danny was born to the late Betty J. and H. Bruce Nankervis in Madison, Wisconsin. The family lived several years in Virginia, then moved to New Jersey, living in Middletown and Holmdel.
He graduated from Red Bank Regional High School and then went on to study at Spring Garden College, Philadelphia. Danny worked on his family farm fixing trucks and other things on the farm while studying and that began his love of being a fixer.
Danny is a long time business owner in Belford, NJ operating Nankervis Brothers Custom Truck and Auto Repair and later Century Welding and Fabricating. He enjoyed helping people by restoring vehicles and machinery of all kinds. He had a special gift for transforming old rusty and broken things into a new shiny glory. Danny has a host of long time friends. His friends and family will remember most his patient and gentle demeanor, sense of humor and love of animals.
Surviving are his wife Cynthia Smith Nankervis, his daughter Dana and her husband Jimi Hughes and siblings Stephen Nankervis, Robert Nankervis, Nancy Galin and Jonathan Nankervis.
Visitation will be Friday, December 3rd from 4:00- 7:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel.
