Daniel T. Franklin, Sr. 53, of Indianapolis, IN formerly of Lake Como and West Long Branch passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. He was born in Germany and was raised in Lake Como. He moved to West Long Branch in 1993, before he moved back to Lake Como and recently moving to Indianapolis. He was a Police Officer for the Borough of West Long Branch until 2007. He was a member of PBA 141 and played for many years on the softball team. Danny's pride and joy were his two children, who he would often brag about to anyone with an ear. Surviving is his two children, Danielle Franklin and Daniel Franklin, Jr., both of West Long Branch and their mother Sharon Franklin; two brothers, Sean and his partner, Cathy and William and his wife Cheryl Franklin; three sisters Laurie Franklin, Elizabeth Franklin and her partner Dee and Dawn and her husband, Shaun Larkin; his nieces, Jessica, Rebecca, Brooke, Bridget, Melinda and a nephew, Brandon; his fiance Gina Economopoulos. Visitation is Wednesday, March 27th, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 28th, 10 am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park Mausoleum, Tinton Falls. Danny became a very dear friend. He loved his children so much he also loved the catholic faith and went to church daily. The last few weeks he spoke of being ready to meet god. He had a sense of humor and always spoke highly of his family and how his kids had been blessed with a wonderful mother. Gods speed Danny will miss you. Sorry for your loss.
