David Mauro, 60, of Freehold, passed away Thursday at his home.
David was born in Red Bank and raised in Keyport. He attended Holmdel High School. He began his career as a carpenter while still in high school. He went on to work for the Newark Housing Authority from 1990-2013. On September 15th 1991 he would marry the love of his life, Beth, and the two would eventually settle in Freehold to raise their family.
David loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycles, classic cars, being a carpenter- even building his home, and most of all he loved his family.
David is predeceased by his siblings Louis Mauro Jr., and Jeffrey Mauro and his parents Louis Mauro and Grace Mauro.
David is survived by his wife Beth Lukeman; his children Tiffany Bass, Luke Mauro, and Jake Mauro; his siblings Douglas Mauro, and JoAnn Pica; his niece and nephew Lauren Pica and Ralph Pica; and his beloved grandchildren Bianca and Quinndalyn.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 23rd from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733. A mass will be offered Wednesday, April 24th at 10:00 AM at St. Josephs RC Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport. At his family’s request he will be privately cremated following the mass
