Della Balina Jones, 55, of Long Branch passed away Thursday, Sept. 2nd at her home. She worked for Sodexo Food Services at Long Branch High School Della was a life long resident of Long Branch and a Past President of the Gregory School P.T.O. She is survived by three sons, Garrett, Jr, Clifford and Jacob C. Jones, Long Branch; three daughters, Justine and Kayla Jones and Anna Sumor, Long Branch; five brothers, Joseph Balina, Eatontown, Fred Balina, Neptune, George Balina, Cape Canaveral, Fl, Edward Balina, Long Branch and Samuel Balina; a sister, Rose Moen, Michigan; 5 grandchildren, Julianna, Tatiyann, Nathan, Natalie and Daemyen. Visitation will be Sat. Sept. 4th 7pm until the service at 8 PM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St., Long Branch. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Della's family. I will always remember Della's smile and endless energy. Whether it was at a football game, a wrestling match or Fine Fair, she would always stop to chat. The last time I saw her was at the Districts in 2009. As soon as she saw me, she smiled and we hugged each other. We sat down and talked about our families for...I don't know how long. Our families have been intermeshed for almost forty years from Pop Warner to wrestling, to high school reunions. I am so sad that a bright light has gone out, but the memory can never be extinguished. It burns on in each and every member of your family. You know how much she loved all of you. I believe she in smiling down on all of you from heaven, along with all the other Green & White members who have gone before her. My heart and prayers are with you today and always.
