I have nothing but such fond memories of Mr. Collins. His laugh was contagious and nobody told a better story or joke! I remember how much he loved to read and smoke his cigars. Most importantly I remember his love for his wife and his children. I learned so many lessons spending time at the Collins home that I carried on in my own life with my own family. I will forever be grateful for the time I spent with Mr. Collins and his amazing family! I am so sorry.

As you go through life, we are touched by few people through their love, sincerity, passion for life, and friendship. I had the good furtune of meeting Mr. Collins through friendships with his kids. I loved discussing the sports, telling jokes and just enjoying his company. The Collins befriended my parents later on in life and when my parents got sick they were right there in support. The true definition of friendship. A great man who I will miss.

Dennis introduced me to Pharmacy at Model Drugs in Bayonne NJ in 1969. I unpacked orders, dusted shelves, cleaned the bathroom and learned about life. Because of his willingness to hire someone from the neighborhood I started on a lifelong journey that surely would have been different. He was enthusiastic about life, his profession, sports and his family. There will be a special place for him in heaven.

It is with great sadness that we have learned of Mr.Collins'passing. We will always remember his quick wit, his jokes and his sincere love for his family and his friends. And sharing a cigar at Monmouth Park. Surely he will sit on the right hand of God looking down and smiling with pride on all of his families accomplishments and love.

Dennis Collins "Pon" left an indelible mark on all those fortunate to know him. My life was forever changed by his faith and guiding hand. I owe so much to Pon, for my successes and direction in life. He took a chance on a 14 year old paperboy who delivered the paper to Model Drugs, and shared his work and his family and home to me. I am proudly honored to be the "seventh D" I love this man, and everyone who has crossed paths with him know they have been blessed and honored to be part of his life. Dennis has left his mark on my heart and mind, and all those who know him. Thank you Pon for making my life so much better and enriched because of you. I love you Pon. Don Kelleher - The seventh D.
