Doreen Murray was born on October 9, 1961 an amazing woman of faith in Jesus, who was reunited with her proud parents Andrew & Joan Murray along with her brother Arthur on March 24, 2026. She is now very much alive and well in eternity. A mother of two, survived by her loving children Anthony Andrews, Alicia Pruckowski and her son-in-law Sean Pruckowski. An adored Meme’e to Delilah Iacouzzi-Andrews, Kira and Kyle Pruckowski, her fur-grandbabies, Dolly, Coco and Dexter. A loving and legendary sister to her siblings Drew Murray, Lynn Diana, Colleen Ferrara, Allison Murray and Rene’e Bibaud. A wonderful sister-in-law to Vinny Ferrara, Jeff Bibaud, Robin Chizmadia, Darlene and Andrew Giuliano. A beautiful aunt who was very much loved by her numerous nieces, nephews, great niece and great nephews. A tough, strong-minded woman, that talked the talk and walked the walk. She was strong-willed and did everything with love. She would step up for you, fight for you, and give you the shirt off her back if need be. She prayed for everyone on earth and loved them even more. It was her life to live and she lived it to the fullest. She was an amazing cook who loved to entertain, opening her doors with open arms. She was and will always be our Dancing Queen! She loved to shop with her grandchildren, giving gifts to others brought her true joy. She was a faithful prayer warrior, with boots on the ground. To know her was a true blessing, she was blessed to be a blessing. We have all gained a powerful angel who will guide us and protect us. We love you, and we promise to keep your memory alive. Until we meet again!

Visitation will be held 1pm to 3pm and 6pm to 9pm, Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. Burial will be held 11am Thursday, at Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo, NJ.

I will never forget the conversations and the fun I had with my honorary Aunt Doreen. She’s a very strong and intelligent woman, and I learned a lot from her over the years. From the rallies, to the conversations about people and faith, she greatly impacted me during my most formative years. She opened her home to me on countless holidays and occasions, and was always so supportive and encouraging to me. She will be missed greatly, but her legacy and the support she gave will live on forever. My sincerest condolences to all of her incredible family, may God keep you all in the palm of his hand. Love you Aunt Doreen.

Its sad to hear of Doreen's passing and I wonder how words can even comfort the entire clan moving forward, except to say that all of the Murray family carried the torch that was lit ny Andrew and Joan, and their giant hearts and sense of humor shown bright in Doreen. I love you all and pray for grace in your hour of grief. Hold tight to each other!

I had the pleasure of connecting with Doreen a few years ago after learning she was my friend’s next-door neighbor. It was such a warm and loving experience getting to know her. The stories she shared about her life brought so much light and perspective to mine. We are second cousins, only seven months apart in age, and I felt an immediate connection. We had so much in common, including our faith in Jesus Christ. She became a meaningful link in helping me understand pieces of my own life that I hadn’t fully seen before. I had hoped to spend more time with her during my visits to New Jersey, and I am deeply saddened by her passing. At the same time, I find comfort in knowing we will meet again. It was clear how much she loved her family, from her children and grandchildren to her sisters and nieces and nephews, and how close you all were. I know she will be deeply missed.
