Dorothy Wagner Noon, 86, of Eatontown, died Friday at St. Barnabas Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mrs. Noon was born in Long Branch and resided with her family in Eatontown where she attended Grammar School. She was a graduate of Long Branch High School Class of 1938. She moved to Bloomfield and resided there for 65 years. She was retired from the New Jersey State Department of Unemployment as a Claims Examiner. Mrs. Noon was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Bloomfield. She was a member of the Rosary Society and Coumbiettes Council #1178. Mrs. Noon was honored by the Altar Rosary Society as Women of the Year. She also served many years on the Board of Elections. After becoming ill with Parkinson's Disease she moved to Eatontown and attended Saint James' Memorial Church where she was confirmed as a young girl. Mrs. Noon was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, William J. Noon; her parents Louis and Cora Wagner; two sisters Evelyn Wagner and Ruth Brand; and a nephew Jesse Brand. Surviving are two sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret and Warren Sandback, Eatontown, and Barbara Wagner, Simi, California; five nieces and their husbands; Janet and David Davidson, Oklahoma, Barbara and Michale Santanello, Howell, Louise and Henry Veverka, Ohio, Wendy and Perry Bonett, West Long Branch and Susand and Vincent Olman, Neptune; four nephew and their wives, Norman and Beth Sandbach, Eatontown, Jack and Elise Brand, CT, Steven and Sandy Brandh, FL, and Jonathan and Tess Branch, MD; 25 grand nieces and nephews; her cousins Harriet Hill, George Fary, H. Kennth Fary, Lauretta Summonte, George Lewis, and Ted Lewis, of Eatontown; and many, many friends. Graveside services will be Tuesday, Dec. 23rd, 11:00 AM at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Bloomfield , NJ. There will be no visiting hours. A memorial celebration of Mrs. Noon's life will be Feb. 28th at St. James' Memorial Church, Broad Street, Eatontown, NJ.
