In loving memory of Eduardo “Eddie” Granado, who passed away peacefully at the age of 56 in his Rahway home on December 17th. Born and raised in the vibrant heart of New York City, Eddie later made Holmdel his home before settling in Rahway.
Eddie’s professional journey was one of passion and expertise as he dedicated himself to the realm of sound and production. Serving as a Producer and Sound Board Engineer over the years for esteemed stations like: WABC Radio, WNYC Radio, SiriusXM Radio and Bloomberg Radio, winning awards for his work at iHEART Radio, he left an indelible mark on the airwaves. A connoisseur of sports, Eddie’s heart beat in sync with the rhythm of Mets Baseball and New York Rangers Hockey. His love knew no bounds, as he crisscrossed the U.S. and Canada, following his cherished teams during both regular seasons and playoff games. Two crowning glories illuminated his sports-loving spirit—the triumphant 1986 NY Mets season and the exhilarating 1994 NY Rangers Stanley Cup victory.
Eddies fervor for sports extended beyond the playing field, as evidenced by his impressive collection of sports memorabilia. Also, a man of diverse tastes, he reveled in the joys of Cuban cuisine, a delectable pizza, and the simple pleasure of a glass of Pepsi. Social and fun loving, Eddie was the heartbeat of joy at any gathering, his laughter resonating at the center of every cherished memory.
Left to cherish his memory are his former wife, the esteemed Dr. Lisa Golding-Granado, and their two sons, Eddie Tyler and Dylan Michael Granado, all of Holmdel. Eddie is also fondly remembered by his nephew, Anthony-Jose, and his extended family, including Grammy Patsy, Laurie Granado, Paula Golding, and niece Chole. His love and laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Eduardo “Eddie” Granado will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the cherished moments he gifted to us all.
Friends and family are invited to call Friday, December, 29th from 5 until 8pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A life celebration will begin at 7:30 pm at the funeral Home. A private entombment will be held at Holmdel Mausoleum.
