So sorry to hear about Ed. We have many great memories of Ed back in the days in Hilton head With our deepest condolences . Kim Baldus Hartman (woodward Baldus's Daughter)
Eddie is one of the most successful people I have ever met. Not because of the success of the companies but because of the love he gave and the love and respect he garnered from everyone he met. I met Eddie and Sharon about 30 years ago through the construction industry. Throughout that time Eddie earned a reputation so great that every single word I ever heard about him was praise. I have nothing but praise and thanks for Eddie Cruz and all he did for me. Thank you Eddie. Our condolences to Sharon and rest of the family.

He definitely left his mark on anyone who was fortunate to meet him. He will be truly missed. My parents, Mario and Nazare Almeida also send their condolences. Our prayers are with your family.
Dear Sharon & Family: We send our deepest sympathy to you. What wonderful memories you have of your time together. Memories cannot never be forgotten or replaced. You are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless . Bob & Jane

so sorry to hear of Ed's passing - He was a great leader and a great President of NUCA. I am proud to have served with him at both the NJ and National utility contractor organizations.
Ed was selling Cruz Plaza and opening an office in New York the last time we spoke and he never said a word about battling lymphoma. That was typical of the man whose attitude was always positive and forward looking. It is hard to believe that Ed has passed, and my condolences, prayers and thoughts go out to Sharon, Jeff, Robin, Susan, Kelly, and all the Cruz family and friends.
Our thoughts and prayers to Sharon and family. He was one of the few men I knew with charisma. May he rest in peace.
On behalf of the D'Annunzio family, we were saddened to hear about Ed's cancer relapse and now his death. Our deepest condolences go out to Sharon and family. Ed was a competitor, yet a family friend and someone who was admired by many. He was a kind man and very generous throughout his life. May God bless you all in providing strength to carry on during these difficult times.
I was saddened to read of Ed's death. I worked closely with Ed in the 1970's when his company had contracts with the Ocean County Sewerage Authority to construct many of the interceptor sewers. I recomended him when he applied to take the prefessional engineer's exam. Ed was one of the best contractors and a man of excellent character.
While it has been a long time since we shared time with Ed and Sharon we were saddened to hear of Ed's passing. Condolences to the whole Cruz family.
Sharon, Please know that we are thinking of you & your wonderful family at this difficult time. We've shared so many memorable times with both of you...We are so sorry. Sincerely, Irene & Joe

Ed was an exceptional person who inspired most everyone who knew and worked with him. We met on a fishing trip to Alaska in the 80s, and had many friendly encounters thereafter -- the trip as his guest to NYC and the Moles was the highlight. I extend my condolences to Sharon and his family; he loved you all so much, and we all have lost a great man. Sam
Sharon and family our deepest condolences at this difficult time. A great friend that will truly be missed. We will treasure the great memories and may you rest in peace. Carlos Farinhas and family.
I've known Ed since 1969 and worked at his Company from 1976 until 2005 eventually retiring as Vice President. We weren't just "employees", we were family. I will always treasure the impact that he made in my life. Ed was special... the class of our industry, a great friend and mentor. He also gave back many times over to his community. His loss leaves a huge void for Sharon, Robin, Jeff, Kelly and Susan.... but know that he will always be there with you in your hearts. We will miss him.
It was a great privilege to have known Ed through NUCA. His presence will be missed but his great contributions to so many facets of society will live on. May Sharon and family be comforted during this difficult time.
Ed will be greatly missed. He was not just a neighbor, but a good friend and a generous man. We, Brian, Mary Ann, Samuel, Liliane and Harry were blessed to meet him and will miss him. Our thought and prayers will be with him and his family alway. Thank you Ed, it was our honor to know you.
It was with a heavy heart that Mary & I heard of the passing of Ed. Our deepest condolences to Sharon and the family. One of the highlights of my career in construction was working with E.E. Cruz on many Joint Venture projects and getting to know Ed both on a professional and personal basis. A charming man who created a great company. He will be truly missed by so many.
My deepest condolences to the entire Cruz family. Ed’s unfailing love of family, country and heritage, which he expressed in words and how he lived his life are an inspiration. He will be missed.
I knew Ed as fellow NCE/NJIT alumni, a fraternity brother at Sigma Pi, a boss for 9 years at EE Cruz, and I so wish he had been given more time to spend with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
My deepest condolences to the Cruz family. I will always remember having Mr. Cruz as my soccer coach and him giving us the opportunity to play in many different venues. I still talk about the trips to the Cosmos games and meeting all the players. He will be missed.

I am very sorry for your loss, Ed was truly a nice guy who treated everybody with respect no matter where they came from. My years working for him at eeCruz were good years and I will always remember what he did for my twins when they needed surgery that the ins company refused to pay for, Ed helped and they had the surgery.
Carol and I feel privileged to have spent some time in recent years with Ed and Sharon, particularly at our respective homes at the New Jersey shore, enjoying cocktails, wine, and appetizers together, before sampling the local cuisine at our favorite restaurants. We will forever remember Ed's genuine warmth and infectious smile. Our condolences go out to Sharon, her immediate family and to the extended family that we have come to know over the years both socially and professionally. Our wish is that Ed rest in peace.
