Edwin Ruiz, 62 of Long Branch, passed away at Monmouth Medical Center on Friday, January 22nd. Mr. Ruiz was born in Coatepeque, Guatemala before he relocated to the United States. He made his home in Long Branch. Mr. Ruiz worked as a tailor in Bradley Beach for many years, and also worked for a landscaping business. Mr. Ruiz will be remembered as being a kind and generous person, as well as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Ruiz is predeceased by his parents Elmar Hanibal Ruiz and Anamaria Miranda, and his brothers Hanibal Ruiz (RIP). Surviving are his children, Herbert Ruiz and Brenda, Long Branch, Ingrid Ruiz and Jose, Tinton Falls, Wendy Ruiz and Miguel, Guatemala; his siblings, Ethel, Mario, Edgar, Anamaria, Irma, Benjamin, Cecilia, Gladis, Julio, Elfego, and Mildred Ruiz; and his grandchildren, Aaron, Miguel, Andrea, Herbert, Brandan, Kimberly, and Joseph. Visitation will be Thursday, January 28th, 10 am until 1pm at Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St., Long Branch, NJ. Followed by a Mass of Christian burial, 1:30pm at Holy Trinity RC Church, Long Branch. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch.
