You will be missed dear friend. Meeting you at Staten Island University Hospital so very many years ago was one of the best blessings in my life . We became friends and then colleagues, working in the Psychiatry Department for many years. Our friendship included times of joy, laughter, sadness and sharing many secrets. We were young mothers then, sharing the joy of watching our children grow up, and we became grandmothers sharing the joy of grandchildren. Your sense of humor, understanding and philosophy about life taught me a great deal. Thank you dear friend for sharing so much with me. I will miss you and will think of you always. You can rest peacefully now with Joe at your side.

To say goodbye is not for me . You will always be in my heart like a mom. I met you as a young man when I married your daughter. We spent so many great times together for vacation and holidays. The years we sat in the kitchen, family room by the fire drinking, laughing, and talking about everything and sometimes nothing. The last years have been hard on you, but you always had a smile on your face when I meet you in the driveway to help you in. You had an even bigger smile when I poured you a big glass of wine. The last three days it was hard for me to see you. I feared in my heart that you were near the end. I say to Deb she is so comfortable and at peace right now we will spend the night with her and we did from that moment on.

Dear Elaine. You were always a special friend.. I always remember our running across Seaview Ave. with a large storage rack from 440 to 475 for seminars. We had a projector and tons of booklets to give out. We were laughing and thinking we must be nuts. We had many good times in and out of work. Whenever I had any issues I could come to you and you always had a soothing solution to the problem. I loved u dearly. You will be missed. Say hello to Joe. I STILL have his strufola recipe. Rest in peace. Josephine
