Eleanor McCue Hayes, 94 a lifelong resident of Long Branch passed away Sunday, April 20th, at the Geraldine Thompson Health Care Center, Allenwood. As a young woman Mrs. Hayes worked at her family's business McCue's Dairy in Long Branch. She later graduated Monmouth Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She worked for the hospital and did private nursing before retiring to raise her family. After her children grew, Mrs. Hayes worked for the Long Branch Public Library as a Librarian. After her retirement from the Library she volunteered for various Charitable organizations locally. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Philip J. Hayes who died in 2001; her sisters and brothers, Mary Davis, Carrie McGuire, Grace Leonard, Martin McCue, Thomas McCue, Vincent McCue, Joseph McCue; her brother-in-law, William Hayes. Surviving are her children, Patricia Cella, Brooklyn, Michael and his wife Gail Hayes, Wayside, Philip Hayes, Wayside and William and his wife Robyn Hayes, West Long Branch; her grandchildren, Matthew, Kristen, Steven and Jordan Elizabeth; two sisters, Sally Wichmann, Little Silver, Elizabeth Paschetto, Paramus and Teresa McCue, Long Branch; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Mortimer, Ames, Iowa and Mary Hundley, Joplin, Mo. Visitation Wednesday, April 23rd, 4 to 8 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Mass of christian burial, Thursday, April 24th, 10:30 am at St. Michael's RC Church, Ocean Avenue, Long Branch.
