Elvira Cittadino Marino, 84 of West Long Branch, passed into heaven, Sunday, November 16th at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mrs. Marino was born and raised on 4th Avenue in Long Branch and had lived in Long Branch, until moving to West Long Branch 20 years ago. Her family owned and operated J.C. Manufacturing, Long Branch.Elvira, also known as Vera, left this world surrounded by love. Her four girls were her greatest source of pride. She raised them to be successful and independent women. Nothing brought a smile to her face quicker than being around children, especially her five grandchildren. She was an original Long Branch beach girl, and spending time at the seaside was a way of life for her. She kept a beautiful home, and when the circumstances of Alzheimer's Disease warranted it, was kept and cared for there by her dedicated caregiver, Gail. It gives the family peace to know she is now with her Mom whom she lost when she was five years old, and her Dad. She and her beloved husband, Bill, are together once more, and is likely catching him up on what he has missed out on for the last 29 years. She was a gentle but independent soul who will be remembered fondly by those whose lives she touched. She was a Parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, Long Branch. Elvira retired from Ft. Monmouth after working many years as a Secretary. Mrs. Marino was pre-deceased by her husband William Marino in 1985; her parents, Josephine Vincelli and Raphael Cittadino; her brothers and sisters, Samuel, Antonio, James, Ralph, William, Theresa, Anna and Mary.
