Enxi Xiao, 81, of Edison, died on Sunday, February 19.
Enxi was born and grew up in Tianjin, China as the youngest of seven children.
Upon finishing his studies in China, he worked for an airline company and after several years of hard work, was assigned to the United States. Once raising enough money and setting a foundation for his family, Enxi reunited with his wife and son in New York, where they created a new life together.
Enxi’s strong work ethic allowed, both he, and later his wife, to attain positions at the United States Postal Service, where he stayed until retirement.
After retirement, Enxi enjoyed traveling around the world with his wife. He also always made sure to keep his heritage a part of him, often watching a lot of Chinese movies and listening to Chinese music.
Enxi enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren more than anything, he was their biggest fan in everything that they did.
He is predeceased by his parents.
Surviving is his wife, Baohua Xu, his son Hang and his wife Bessie of Morganville, and two beloved granddaughters, Allina and Adella.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 25 from 3pm – 5pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel.
