Felix C. Santos, 62 of Old Bridge died peacefully on Friday, February 2nd surrounded by his beloved family.
Born in Ecuador, he immigrated to the United States at the age of 9 and settled in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, where he would live until he and his wife moved their family to Staten Island and settled in Old Bridge in 1999. Felix was proud to be an American and was a firm believer in what the flag symbolized. He truly believed America gave him the opportunity for his family to live out the American dream.
Felix had a strong work ethic along with the foresight to provide for his family in both the present and the future. He was an avid coin collector as well as a fan of action movies. A lover of music, he especially favored Leo Dan, Los Angeles Azules and 80’s freestyle music.
He loved to entertain, host family holiday parties and Monday night family dinners. He was an avid bowler for many years and learned to play the saxophone in high school.
Felix is pre-deceased by his children, Felix C. Santos and Brigitte Santos as well as his brother, Carlos Santos and sister Rosa Ludewig.
Surviving Felix are his parents, Maria and Felix Santos; his wife Ana; Four children, Daniel Santos and his wife Jennifer, Jacqueline Santos, Jennifer and her husband Peter Cornier and Felix E. Santos and his wife Valona; his siblings, Pedro Santos, Mercedes Valencia and Jose Santos; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooklynn, Jaden, Jordyn, Logan, Kaylee, Sofia and Peter.
Friends and family are invited to visiting hours on Monday, Feb. 5th and Tuesday, Feb. 6th from 5 pm until 8 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian burial, Wed. Feb. 7th at a 10:30 am at St. Ambrose RC Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro.
In lieu of customary remembrances Felix’s family asks with gratitude that contributions in his honor be given to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, at www.stjude.org.
