Filippo Marini, Sr., 88, of Langhorne, PA, passed away on Monday, June 26.
He was born in 1934 to the late Maria and Agostino Marini in Torrice, Italy, where he was raised.
At 19 years old, Filippo moved to America in search of a better life. He met the love of his life, Lina, and they married three months later. They began their family and moved from Jamaica, Queens to Middletown, NJ and then to Hazlet in 1966. Filippo was the founder and owner of MTT Corp.
He enjoyed gardening, wine making, and hunting with his family. Filippo had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those that needed it. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife Lina Marini, and his son-in-law Nicholas Kopidlowski.
He is survived by his children Anthony Marini of Egg Harbor, Roberto Marini of Langhorne, PA, Teresa Kopidlowski of Toms River, and Filippo Jr., and his wife Judith Marini of Bricktown, his brother Giuseppe Marini, his sister Maria Mastronardi, three grandchildren Melissa Marini, Anthony Rigous, and Gianna Marini, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1pm – 5pm Sunday, July 2 at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, July 3 at 10am at St. Benedict RC Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel.
