Frances A Lejda, 83, of Port Monmouth, died on Monday, January 27.
Frances was born and raised in Bayonne to the late Katherine and John Fabian. She was a graduate of Bayonne High School. She worked as a customer representative for Causeway Hyundai and Caesar’s Casino before retiring.
Frances was a sports fan enthusiast, and especially enjoyed basketball and football. She and her husband enjoyed trips together to Monmouth Park Race Track and Atlantic City Casinos. Frances was also a good cook, and known for her amazing Cole Slaw recipe, which was passed down to her. On a quiet day, she liked to relax and put on Frank Sinatra.
She is predeceased by her husband Thomas “Tom” Lejda, her parents, and her brother John Fabian.
Frances is survived by her sister Catherine Rocheny, her brother Joseph Fabian, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, February 3 at 9:15am at the Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Ennichement will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel.
In lieu of traditional remembrances, Frances’ family asks with gratitude that donations in her memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org)
