There are numerous memories of times that Frank demonstrated his love for family and friends. Frank was generous and compassionate. The most recent story I have that moves me now as it did then, is a story of soup.I had gone to visit Franky ,to keep him company for a short time and hopefully cheer him up. It didn't take long before we we engaged in a lively conversation and touched upon the "soup topic". I found soup too salty generally and Frank found the soup he had not salty enough. He joked about it and other things and we had one of our soul-ful talks which came easily. In no time , we were laughing , giggling and forgetting the time and any complaints. In sum, I had gone with the purpose of lifting Frank's spirits and what truly happened was, he lifted mine so much more. This I want to emphasize was not an unusual occurrence. When I think back over the years, I find that this is who Frank was and what he did for us all. Oh..and before I forget, when I left the house that day my arms were filled with cans of soup, the unsalted kind. And, before the week was up, Liz too had delivered soup to my doorstep . This is my "soup story and the story of a loving, caring cousin,Frank. Aurora Rini Schlegel

My brother was only a few years older than me, but at times I think he felt a lot older than that. My brother was very protective over me. When I was younger I remember that this bothered me, but now that I look back I know that he loved me a lot and wanted what was best for me. He was always there for me when I needed him and I knew that I could talk to him about any problems I had. I trusted my brother a lot and we were both able to share secrets with each other. Frank a huge Giants Football baseball fan and never missed a game. He also love going golfing, bowling, and camping with his friends. He had a passion for travel and always encouraged us as a family to go with him. I will miss my brother more than words can say. We should all be thankful for knowing him and for his time on earth. I hope that everyone here remembers how wonderful a person he was and that his memory will continue to live on in our hearts and minds.
