Bill Lewis left a message on July 16, 2021:
I attended a funeral today for my 8th grade teacher from Sacred Heart School. As I went to the cemetary I was surprised to see Mr. Kurzawa had passed on. I would like to send my families absolute condolences to the entire Kurzawa family. My family will be praying for yours. Mr. Kurzawa helped my dad (Dan Lewis) coach basketball at Sacred Heart. He also helped my dad when my sister passed at a very young age. My sister Heidi passed 50 years ago this coming July 23rd. Mr. Kurzawa never forgot were he came from. I remeber him ALWAYS paying for the alter buy to go to Downingtown park ikn Pennsylvania every year. Also donating to any South Amboy organization that knocked on the funeral home door.. Mr Kurzawa was a true community man who always greeted me with a smile and a how is your mom? I would ask him about Mark and Mat and he would brim with pride how those 2 were doing. May you rest in peace, you will be missed by the Lewis family, and you will also be missed by the people of the South Amboy that your family served for decades. God Bless you Mr. Kurzawa
