Fred Corcione, 85 of West Long Branch passed away Thursday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He retired as a Supervisor for Entenmann's Bakery. Mr. Corcione was born and had lived in Long Branch before moving to West Long Branch 15 years ago. He was a Communicant of St. Michael's RC Church, Long Branch. He served his country honorably in the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Fred was quick with a laugh and even quicker with a joke, which earned him the nickname of 'Fast Freddie'. It was rumored that Bob Hope and Henny Youngman were secretly green with envy of him. He took great delight in children, and was a tireless fan of most sports, especially football and swimming. Most importantly, he had a smile that could light up the whole planet, and we will be forever warmed by it's glow. Surviving is his wife, Carol Bevacqui Corcione; his daughter,Cathy Corcione and Dan Ciaglia, Red Bank and her children, Jessica and John Gillooly, Boston, MA and their children, Rose and Johnny, James and Danielle Farley, Istanbul and Christina and Ford Scudder, Nashville, TN.; his son, Robert Corcione, Long Branch; Carol's children, Mary Jane and Robert Blatt, West Chester, Pa., their children, Christopher and Jessica Blatt and their son Cayden Blatt, Lauren Blatt and Paige Blatt, Carolyn and Mario Fragale, Little Silver and their children, Amanda and her son Joseph Healy, Mario and Travis Fragale, Nancy Bevacqui, Oceanport and her children, Caitlin and Issac Hall and Greer McCarthy, Thomas and Eileen Bevacqui, Tinton Falls and their children, Alex and Dylan and Keith and Patty Bevacqui, Barneget and their children, Thomas, Keith and Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, November 11th, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral mass , Tuesday, November 12th, 10:30 am, St. Michael's RC Church, Long Branch. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch.
