Dr. Brennan delivered me almost 44 years ago. I had some issues and he comforted my parents. They felt at ease with Dr. Brennan was a one of a kind person and doctor. I live in North Carolina now and when I had my girls 16 and 13 years ago, I looked him up just in case I needed the best. I was blessed to have my son born July 18 and of course wanted to make sure I had the best available just in case. My family and I were sadden to hear of his passing. Growing up in old bridge, he touched so many lives. He was and will always be the BEST.

To The Brennan Family: It is with the deepest regret that I share in your grief over a caring and brilliant diagnostician. Our children, Rick and Lauren were cared for by the fine Doctor from their very first visit after arriving home from the hospital until they were in their teens. We always felt confident in his advice and in the way he not only treated our children but us as well. May G-D continue to shine his Grace on one of his greatest creations- Dr. George Brennan! As a young pediatric dentist, entering the community of Old Bridge in 1986, I was immediately supported, counseled, and inspired by Dr George Brennan. He embodied quintissential professionalism as demonstrated by his passion, committment, and enduring spirit of just taking care of people. I have met his family, cared for his family, and have had the privilege of knowing George as an exceptional human being. I am who I am today, because of those in my life, like Dr George Brennan who have been positive forces of change to all that they have encountered. George lives on through the lives of those he has touched. Dr Cavan Brunsden

Dr. George Brennan was brilliant, kind, sweet, caring, dedicated, and was both a privilege and honor to have known him. He was my pediatrician from the time I was six until I graduated from college. He also cared for my brother, sister, and later my niece. He remembered details of my life not found in any medical chart. When I became seriously ill whil away at college, Dr. Brennan helped me when no on else could. I was blessed by his compassion, and astounded by his knowledge and memory! His sense of humor was priceless, His love for his family, patients, medicine, and the Lord were amazing! He always shared touching stories about his family, (whom he treasured), and also the latest new studies he had read about in medicine, (always remembering how much my niece and I enjoyed hearing of the latest new research in medicine). Angels like Dr. George Brennan come around once in a lifetime. He was one of a kind and will be sadly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. My heart goes out to his family as mine is breaking as well. May the Lord comfort you in your grief and sorrow. He will be missed as deeply as he was loved.

Dear Joan and Family, Your wonderful husband and father was an inspiration to so many people. When we lived in Old Bridge, he was our family pediatrician. When my middle daughter was having problems in school... the teacher believed she had an undiagnosed hearing or psychological problem...I went to Dr. Brennan, explained the situation and he did some testing in the office and then sent us off to Robert Wood for brain testing. Fortunately, all results were normal. His knowledge about how the brain develops allowed me to trust his judgement and let it go...and the teacher left the school system. Dr. Brennan had the amazing ability to be compassionate, loving, kind and brilliant all wrapped up in a human body. He used his talents and gifts to serve all of humanity, continuing to 'give' even after retirement. God uses people like George because He knows they are open to His will. He leaves a legacy of loving service. May his spirit watch over all of you as he watched over all of us. Love, Fran

While I had not seen or spoken with Dr. Brennan in quite some time, I have only the fondest memories of a man that defined what it means to be a true servant of humanity. To me, he was far more than an exceptionally brilliant, medical professional: in a very real sense, his was an artistic gift. His artistry lay not only in his skill but in his unwavering passion for his work, a passion that came from the depth of his soul. His warmth and dedication to his craft touched me personally, as well as the lives of my entire family and all those who had the wonderful privilege of knowing him. May we always treasure and build upon his invaluable legacy of genuine service, and may the Lord comfort his family at this most difficult time.

Doctor Brennan was not only a family friend but a lifesaver who I could depend on. When I was four years old, Dr. Brennan listened to my heart beat and found my heart murmur. He immediatly sent me to Dr. Timcheck who fixed me up. He was always the person who I could visit, injured or not. When I went skaeboarding without shoes or a helmet, I fell and cut my foot open in the middle of the street. Dr. Brennen came straight to my house early that the morning and instructed my parents how to treat my foot. My family called him non-stop just to chat. He is in all of our prayers and he will be deeply missed. He will always have a special place in my heart.

I am so sad to hear of the passing on Dr. Brennan. However, I then remind myself of how truly blessed he is, what a full life he lead, and how many lives of children and parents he touched and gave hope to. He talked about his family often and was always very open and honest with any information he passed on. Selfishly, I feel a huge loss not being able to make an appointment, for one of my 4 children, and ask his advice. I feel as though he played a large part in helping raise my children. Perhaps it is I who is also blessed in having Dr. Brennan in my family's life. Will never forget him...The Marraro Family

We are very saddened to hear of Dr. Brennan's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. He was a wonderful man, husband, father and of course the best doctor our family has ever known. Our families go back to the late 1950's when our mother & grandmother met Dr. Brennan and his lovely wife Joan at St Vincent's in Manhattan, NY. We can remember spending long weekends together back in the 1960's & 1970's at each other's homes and having so many great memories to cherish. Although it has been quite a long while since our families have been together, on behalf of our family we are better people for having had Dr. Brennan in our lives and the privilege to have him & his family as life long friends. My daughter, Kylene, was born 37 years ago and transfered to St. Peters Hospital Neonatal Unit immediatly. The doctors in the hospital advised my husband and me not to even take her home, to 'put her away'. Dr. Dorothy Pietrucha was the pediatric neurologist called in and she told me to call Dr. George Brennan to take care of her needs. I was only 25 at the time, with two small children at home. I know that without Dr. Brennan's care, concern and insight as to what it would be like caring for a special needs child, I couldn't have done it. My daughter was affected with cerebral palsy, seizures, she is non verbal and non ambulatory and severly retarted. How many doctors give you their home phone number in case you need him after office hours? When she needed to get into the hospital, he would have everything arranged by the time I got there with her. I once called the office and asked if I could have an appointment with him for me, I needed the help at that point. He spent well over an hour with me, listening to me and talking about God's will and my own free will. I often think of that conversation when I feel like I can't take care of her anymore. I was honored to attend a celebration for Dr. Brennan as a star was named after him in honor of his dedication to all of his patients he cared for. I will continue to look up to Heaven and thank him for helping me carry my cross. Dr. Brennan cared for Kylene until she was 23, long after the 'pediatric age', I know that if we hadn't moved to south jersey, he would still have been there for her if I needed medical advice. I remember him saying to me that the reason Kylene is still with us is because of the love she has been given by her family. I know I was able to continue to care and love my daugher because of the love he showed us. My family has been blessed to have know such a man. Joan Meade

Dr. Brennan was the greatest doctor ever. When I was a baby and young girl I suffered from severe migraines. I can remember a couple of times Dr. Brennan coming to our home to take care of me and counseling my parents. Along with neurological problems as a child I had learning disabilities. Dr. Brennan helped me and guided my parents for years during my early childhood education years. I was a very sick little girl but with Dr. Brennan’s help I was able to grow up to be the mother and wife I am today. My Mother was a nurse at Sayreville Medical Group and worked with Dr. Brennan and the other doctors in the group for years. (Deanna Marano) Unfortunately she is no longer here, but I know she is grateful to him for all the support he gave her throughout the years. Dr. Brennan was my daughter’s and son pediatrician now 23 and 18 years old. My daughter who is named after my mother he nick named her “Big D” from the day he visited me in St. Peters hospital after giving birth to her. Now 50 years old and my Mother gone for 10 years, one of the last things I could remember my Mom telling me was if I ever had any problems with my children and did not know what to do , call Dr. Brennan he will help you, and he did. I am so grateful to Dr. Brennan for all the help he has given me and my children throughout the years. Rest in Peace and may God bless the Brennan family during this difficult time. To Dr. Brennan's family, I'd like to offer my condolences, and thank you for sharing him with the community. He did wonderful deeds. In 1966, he literally saved my life. He made a house call very late at night. He knew of my febrile convulsions and came prepared. I had collapsed to the floor, and he swiftly knelt beside me, assessed the situation, and gave me an injection. I'm 100% convinced that shot saved my life. You see, my six year old spirit had already left my body. I watched him do his work from ceiling height. After I watched him give me the shot, I realized I would be in 'big trouble' for being on the ceiling, so I went back down to my body where I belonged. Thank you, Dr. Brennan, for your skill, quick thinking, and for coming to my aid. May you rest in eternal peace.

Doctor Brennan was (in my opinion) the most intelligent and compassionate doctor that I have ever encountered. Whether it be from helping to diagnose and save my brother's life during a house call some 50 years ago. Or lastly diagnosing and cariing for my special needs son. It is with sincere gratitude and honour that I can say that Dr, Brennan also took care of all of my 10 elder siblings and several nieces and nephews of mine. The greatest honour of all - was having the privilege to work for this wonderful man for 11 1/2 years!! You will always be sorely loved and missed Dr.Brennan!! Rest in peace.

Always thought Dr. Brennan would live forever. He was my pediatrician and Joey's. I will never forget the phone call to my home after Joey had his first X-Ray and ultrasound of his urinary track. I was so upset with the results from radiology and the specialist. As soon as Dr. Brennan got those results he called me at home, explained the results in detail and assured me everything would be ok. He got to see Joey through that surgery and witnessed him bounce right back like a super star. Joey goes back for post-surgery recheck 3 of 4 in July and I know he'll have an extra special angel with him. Rest in peace, Dr. Brennan. You'll be missed. We are keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

From birth to last week when my youngest went to see him, We trusted this wonderful, intellectual, friendly, compasionate, empathic man with the lives of our two babies, now men 19 and 23. Through tears we are writing this, and the singular story is the story of how he effected all of our families lives through the many years of sickness, sports phyicals, heathy visits, doctor references, and any and all questions, medical or otherwise. He was a cut from a stone that has turned to dust and no longer exsists in this world and there will NEVER be a physician that can come close to filling the shoes of Dr. George Brennan. Our hearts are broken and our doctor is no longer here to advise us how to heal. We know he lived a full, rewarding life till his last and he is in a better place however we are only human and don't want him to go, we're selfish, we admit it. God Bless you Dr. Brennan and may he give your family solace and strengh in the knowlege of how much you are loved and will missed.

To Dr. Brennan's Family I am so sorry for your loss! Dr. Brennan was an incredible Doctor and I was so lucky to have him! I went through a period of my life where I was very sick between asthma, lung issues, Mono, Shingles, and more and Dr. Brennan went above and beyond being just a doctor. He called me from vacations to check on me. He gave me his cell phone while I was away at college to call and ask questions or let him know if I wasn't feeling well. He NEVER didn't answer a call. It could be middle of the night he could be in St. Thomas, didn't matter. One time he actually called into the hospital from vacation and had the testing results faxed so he could read them! I trusted him so explicitly if Dr. Brennan said I was going to be fine I was calm and I knew I would indeed be fine. Even when things were going horribly wrong his sense of calm made me relax and know everything would be okay. After I was out of pediatrics (basically kicked out I stayed so long) I continued to call him when I was ill more than a cold to get his opinion on what to do. I even called him after my car accident to ask about a diagnosis they gave me and he called me back to check on me a few days later. He was so incredibly knowledgeable and brilliant! You could tell how he loved helping people. There is no one who cared more for his patients or did more in and out of the doctor’s office then him. I am much healthier now in my adult life and it’s a direct result of all of his help over the years. I would not be the 25 year old healthy women I am without him and I am so grateful to have been under his care as long as I was. He will be truly missed and an empty seat at my wedding will surely be felt. RIP Dr. Brennan and Thank you for everything!!

Dear Joan and family members, We are at a loss of words over this sudden news. Dr Brennan had just helped Greg with a big decision about his leg wound; He seemed to stop everything to find an answer or answer with his wealth of knowledge, whether if it was regarding Melanoma, prolapse bladder, dengue or whatever we had going on at the time. A truly selfless man. Our Sincere Condolences, Billie and Greg

He was my dr. I am now 58 years old and he helped bring my children into the world, being in the delivery room with my wife. I have such fond memories and great stories. He will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Brennan family.

To the Brennan family we would like to send our deepest sympathies. Dr Brennan was at the hospital when our son Frank was born and he had seen him this year after his 18th birthday. He nick named Frank (Frank the freeloader) when he was a new born on our first visit and called him that before saying his real name. For 18 years He always took the time to not only give medical advise to Frank but also took the time to talk to him about his future and what he thought was best. We listened to everything he said and valued his opinion. He will be deeply missed by our family and our 6 year old daughter who had seen him also. . Whenever We called the office with a sick call the first thing we asked was is Dr Brennan in the office? God bless him and his family. Jerry Lisa Frank And Cira Limaldi.

Dr. Brennan was one in a million! He was a fabulous doctor but more importantly he was a kind, caring, compassionate man who was loved and respected by his patients and their families. We were blessed to have had him take care of our children!
