Jerry always had a great story to tell. I remember when I first became a member of the Sunrise fishing club he was one of the “older “ guys that would have a chat with me knowing that I didn’t know many people yet in the club.It helped put me at ease.He was a good man.I’m sorry for your loss.

It is sad to lose a good friend from our childhood years. Growing up, we were in Boy Scouts, youth groups, Hogh School clubs -operating ham radios, and taking pictures for the year books. We learned a lot from each other’s interest and later remained good friends in Rotary. Our sincere condolences to Gail and family, Retta &Mike Schwartzstein

We were very upset to hear of Gerald's passing. Although, we did not know him well, his comments in Torah Study Class were always thoughtful and frequently provided many good laughs. His presence in Torah Study will be greatly missed.

We met Jerry and Gail upon moving to New Jersey last summer. We became fast friends. We shared trips to interesting restaurants, drives through lovely parts of New Jersey, visits, in our new home, meals , and some of Jerry’s prize baked treats. We shared a love of trout fishing and were surprised to learn Jerry had fished the Beaverkill river, which fronts the property of our family vacation home in the Catskills. Our only concern was whether we could keep up, with such a vibrant and energetic man on hikes and future day trips. For surly we thought there would be many. We are so saddened to learn of Jerry’s sudden passing. We only had this friendship for a few months, but will miss his optimistic spirit and the growing friendship that might have been.

I’m so sorry to learn of Dr. Kass’s passing. He was such a great doctor, friend (to my folks), and father. I remember getting horrible headaches anytime I’d try to read in elementary school and Dr. Kass had me go through his eye therapy. I cannot say I loved getting up early on Saturday mornings, but he was always so enthusiastic and fun, and after a few sessions, I could cross my eyes and grew to love reading. My grades and confidence grew, too. Anyway, I owe him a great deal of gratitude and have great memories of him and your whole family. Sending you all love (from NC).
