Hannelore “Betty” Gatto, 80, of Hazlet, died on Friday, February 23.
Hannelore was born in 1943 to the late Herta and Gerhard Kutzner. She immigrated to the United States at six years old, and lived in Irvington throughout her early twenties where she met & married her husband, Louis Gatto and gave birth to their son, Michael Gatto. From there the family moved to Toms River NJ, and then to Apollo Beach, FL. In her later years she moved to Sun City Center, FL where she cared for her late mother, Herta Kutzner.
Hannelore loved boating, visiting casinos, shopping, her pet Dachshund’s & most importantly spending time with family and friends. She was truly “one of a kind”!!
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Louis Gatto, and her son, Michael Gatto.
Surviving is her sister Sigrid Beattie, her brother and sister-in-laws Joan and Doug Meidling, and her nieces, Christine Simuro, Patricia Moran, Sandra DiDominico & Linda Lamb
A Celebration of Life repass for Hannelore will be held privately at a later date.
