I feel very sorry for the lose of my long ago Army friend and long ago neighbor. In early 1961 Henry introduced me to the 824th Signal Company, a Army Reserve Unit in Fort Monmouth, NJ. At the time, I was his neighbor, only about 300 feet from his home, living in an apartment over a Shoemakers Shop on Broadway. I joined Henry's Reserve unit, and that was the beginning of my 27 year career in the Active Army Reserves. In late 1961, our unit was activated for the Berlin Crises, and we were scheduled to go to Germany. The crises never came to a head, so our orders were cancelled, and we stayed on active duty in Fort Dix for about 3 years. constructing Signal Corps lines. Hank and and I were great Army "buddies". I will never forget him for introducing me to the Army Reserves, and encouraging me to join his unit. I last met him and his wife Pat, at the 50th Long Branch High School reunion. Pat was a classmate of mine in the Class of 1956. You punched your ticket for your last train ride on the railroad made famous by the hymn called: "Life's Railway To Heaven". As the song say's, when you arrived at "Heaven's Station" the Angles were their to great you, in thy Grace forevermore. Rest In Peace My Friend. And my sincere condolences to Pat and her family. God Bless you all. Jim

Well, we lost another "GREAT" one! Hank, bigger than life, not just in stature but in personality. You know someone led a meaningful life when all the memories of them are good, and put a smile on your face. That's what Hank leaves behind, a smile on everyone's face. Being the youngest male of the Gen2 of Bucco's, I can say that when we were little and a family gathering, was to say the least over whelming, he always made you feel less afraid, even though he was a giant of a man to a small child, he was a huge bundle of joy. God Bless you Santa Hank, and God Bless your family. John Bucco

It is with the saddest of heart having to express our condolences on Hanks passing. Truly one of the most gentlest and kindest men I have ever met. I joined Oceanic's when Hank was Captain. He was always available to help me and answer any questions I had as a new firefighter. He always called me "Bov" whenever we spoke or he had a joke to tell, which he always had plenty. His warm smile and his kind laugh will be missed but always remembered. He was that kind of person I enjoyed being around, whether at a fire house meeting or a dinner or other social affair, his presence would light up the room. Rest In Peace Hank you've answered the Last Alarm. Patty, our prayers are with you and your family. May God Bless! Rich & Patty Bovie

Mrs. Lorkiewicz and the Lorkiewicz Family, my sincerest and deepest condolences for your loss. Mr. Lorkiewicz was one of the kindest and funniest people to walk through the doors at Homestead Pharmacy. No matter how bad the day was, or what terrible things we were going through personally, he would always find a way to make us all laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Sincerely, Dawn Cleffie
