Herb could be smart, practical, and funny.
Remembering a funny time while Herb and Donna were out fishing on our boat. The sea was rough and Herb lost his fishing pole in the ocean.
We continued to fish and suddenly Herb yelled that he had a big fish on the hook.
What he actually had, when he finally pulled it in, was his fishing pole that he had lost. We all laughed!

It was the longest play date in history but it was the start of a very long special friendship.
Nights on the beachh looking at the lights, sharing yum Kippur are much loved memories.
