Hsiou-Cheng Lin(林彭秀貞), 69, of Holmdel, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 20.
Hsiou-Cheng(秀貞) was born in 1954 to the late Mi Chen (陳米) and Yung-Ching Peng(彭永清) in the island of Peng-Hu(澎湖) of Taiwan.
She was raised in Chiayi(嘉義) and Zhongli(中壢) of Taiwan, and attended Tatung Institute of Commerce and Technology (大同技術學院) in Chiayi(嘉義), Taiwan. Hsiou-Cheng(秀貞) met the love of her life Yih-Kang(毅剛), married in 1977, and moved to Kansas as he attended the University of Kansas. They later moved to Atlanta, GA, Dallas, Texas, Los Angeles, CA, and finally settled in Holmdel, NJ in 1988.
Hsiou-Cheng(秀貞) loved gardening and had an artistic mind that she expressed through pottery, ceramics and painting. She also enjoyed traveling. Hsiou-Cheng(秀貞)was kind, humble, and made sure her family was always taken care of in every way. She spent a lot of time volunteering with the Tzuchi Foundation(慈濟基金會) and was known there for her generous way and big heart.
She is predeceased by her parents Mi Chen (陳米) and Yung-Ching Peng(彭永清).
Surviving is her beloved husband Yih-Kang Maurice Lin(林毅剛), her daughter, Dorothy Lin (林樹欣), and her four siblings who reside in Taiwan.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27 from 10 am – 12pm with a service during visitation, at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Cremation will be private.
