Inez D. Stroby, 93, of Long Branch, died Thursday at Royal Suites Healthcare in Galloway. She was born in Long Branch and lived there and in Ocean Township before moving to Florida in 1990. A retired nurse, she devoted her life to caring for others. After graduating Long Branch High School in 1941, she attended Ann May School of Nursing in Neptune, graduating in 1944, and worked as a Registered Nurse at Hazard Hospital, Monmouth Medical Center and Westwood Hall Hebrew Home, all in Long Branch, retiring in 1990. She was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1977; two sisters, Anna Ciambrone and Evelyn Bongarzone in 1997 and 1999 respectively; a brother, Frank, in 2002; and her parents, Rachael and Frank Morelli. She is survived by three sons, William, Leroy and Wallace; and a daughter, Cecilia Ann Coutu; nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was an active member of the St. Francis of Assisi Women’s Guild in Riviera Beach, Fla., and a volunteer for many causes and charity events. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St., Long Branch. Service Wed. at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch.
