James A. “Jay” Bedell, 62, Monmouth Beach, passed away Saturday, December 9th at Monmouth Care Center.
Born in Neptune, Jay was raised in Oceanport and lived in Monmouth Beach for the past 25 years. Jay was a swimming pool technician for Distinctive Pools, Morganville. He was a parishioner of St. Dorothea RC Church, Eatontown. Jay enjoyed surf fishing, boating on the river, and was an avid NY Giant’s fan. He spent his free time travelling, visiting Mexico every year.
Jay was a devoted family member, his family was most important to him. He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle to his beloved nephews.
Jay was predeceased by his father James P. Bedell in 2005. Surviving is his mother Adrienne Bedell, Oceanport; his brother & sister-in-law John & Meg Bedell, Oceanport; his sister & brother-in-law Suzanne & Timothy Frey, Ocean; his aunt and uncle, Arthur & Sally Crochet, Oceanport and three nephews Michael J. Boyle, III & his wife Suzanne Lisle, Patrick J. Boyle, and James August Bedell.
Visitation is Tuesday, December 12th 4:00-7:00 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Mass of Christian Burial is Wednesday, December 13th at 10:00 am at St. Dorothea RC Church, Eatontown. Burial is at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. I have taken comfort knowing that God . . . will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain.”—Revelation 21:3, 4 The Bible, however, holds out a much different hope. As we have previously noted, the Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future, not in an unknown heaven but right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions. And at that time humans will have the prospect of enjoying perfect health, and they will never have to die again. ‘But surely that is wishful thinking!’ for some may say.
