James L. Massa, 84, of Freehold, passed away peacefully Friday, December 29th.
Born in Brooklyn, Jim was a police officer with the New York Police Department. He was an avid Jets and Mets fan. Jim enjoyed watching classic movies and old TV and game shows in his recliner. He had a love of dogs and a good Macallan Manhattan. Jim’s true love was his family.
Jim is predeceased by his wife Arlene. Surviving are his children James & Christine Massa, Marion & Chuck Kamens, Annette Massa and Kelly Laino; his brother & sister-in-law Lawrence & Margie Massa; his grandchildren Jamielee, Robert, Lindsey, Nicholas, Sydney, Jordan, James, Isabella & Giovanna and his great-grandchildren Julianna, Gabrielle, James, Anthony, Robert, Brooklyn, Dominick & Thomas.
Visitation Wednesday, January 3rd 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. Mass of Christian burial Thursday, January 4th 11:00 am at St. Gabriel RC Church, 10 N. Main Street, Marlboro. Entombment to follow in St. Gabriel Mausoleum.
