James P. Heugle, 53, of Holmdel, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 20th, 2011. Jim was a service technician with Public Service Electric & Gas in Summit for 30 years. He was a member of Union Local I.B.E.W. 94, and a member of the P.S.E.&G Deep Sea Fishing Club. He was an Officer and Trustee of the Frances Foundation for Kids fighting Cancer Inc. James was a communicant of St. Benedicts R.C.Church in Holmdel. He was raised in West Orange, and was a 1975 graduate of West Orange High School where he lived prior to moving to Holmdel in 1994. He loved his J-E-T-S and was a huge Yankees fan. He was predeceased by his mother, Frances Nolan Heugle. He is survived by his wife Rosemary ( nee Lynch), two sons James P. Jr., and Timmy , a daughter Katie , his father Robert L. Heugle Sr. of Forked River, a brother Robert L. Heugle Jr. and his wife Maria of Holmdel, a sister Catherine Heugle of Forked River, his mother in law Kathaleen Lynch, and by his beloved aunts Catherine, Peg, Eileen, his great aunt Agnes, and by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and grand nephew Tyler Heugle. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday 10:00 AM at St. Benedicts R.C.Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel. In lieu of flowers donations made in his memory would be appreciated The Frances Foundation 8 Bryce Road, Holmdel, N.J. 07733

Mr.Heugle,Boog,and Cathy, I was shocked when Steve Davenport called me this morning and informed me of Jim's passing. I also realized that I should be thankful for having known Jim. I can remeber playing basketball in the back, on Parkside, the trains in the basement, Bobby throwing us out of the new room Mr. Heugle had just built for he and Bobby, his autographed Yankee baseball. But, the thing I will remeber most about Jim is that he never changed. He was the same person that I knew at 6 that I knew later on in life, honest, funny, trustworthy and just a great guy. Although we lost touch later in life and I did not have the privilidge to meet his immediate family. I will remember him and what a great friend he was in those early years. He really was something special and I was lucky enough to share some time with him.
