James P. Sciallo, 82 of West Long Branch died at his home on Wednesday, March 15th surrounded by his family.
Jim was a graduate of Long Branch High School. He then served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1960-1965. He was a Machinist Mate serving aboard the T-AP 176 USS, The General J.C. Breckinridge. Upon discharge, Jim continued his education, graduating from Monmouth College. For 25 years he was the owner and operator of Tower Electronics, Long Branch. Following his retirement from Tower, he became an Investigator for the Department of Banking and Insurance, for the State of New Jersey.
He loved to ride his motorcycle and was a lifetime member of Monmouth Shore Points Motorcycle Club, where he served in many capacities. Jim loved taking many day trips on his bike. He enjoyed antique shopping with his wife Gail and had an extensive collection of antique banks.
Jim enjoyed his winter trips to Florida and especially loved spending time with his grandkids. He enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and was a staunch Republican. Jim in the 1980’s was a strong advocate for Insurance Reform.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Gail Morgan Sciallo who died in 2023.
Surviving is his son, Salvatore D. Sciallo, and his fiancée Jennifer Kreppel-Miller, Holmdel, his daughter, Elisa Sciallo and her partner Donny Lombardo, Palm Beach Gardens, FL; his 4 grandchildren, Kyle, Michael, Alessandro and Lexi.
Memorial gathering, Thursday, March 20th, 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. A private entombment service will be held at Woodbine Mausoleum.
