James Philip Carr

May 26, 1936 - April 5, 2011

James Philip Carr 74 of Port Chester, NY passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, CT. Born in the Bronx, NY James lived in Hazlet, NJ prior to moving to Port Chester, NY in 2001. Mr. Carr worked for 25 years as the First Vice President for Morgan – Stanley in New York City prior to retiring in 2000. Mr. Carr was on the Planning Boards of Hazlet Twp., NJ and Port Chester, NY, volunteered and taught for a Literacy Program in Port Chester, NY and was an avid golfer and ballroom dancer. James was predeceased by his first wife Clare R. Carr in 1999. Surviving is his 2nd wife Recka Maulborgne, son James C. Carr, two daughters Patricia Kasper and Lynn Colombo, sister Anne Fitzgerald, and 11 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00PM only at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Funeral Service will be offered Friday 10:30AM in the Funeral Home. Jim was a wonderful person, he was like a realitive and all the children was like my children, we loved Jim as person realitive and a neighbour, Jim will now be joining my daughter Astrid to the Carr family we love you guys, Clive and Barbara Sohan

I am writing this short note to say how sorry we are to hear of Jim’s passing. We have to say Thank You again to both Jim & Recka for their friendship to my parents. The Sunday Morning Breakfast dates at “The Griff” to which they invited our Dad after Mom passed was a very kind & generous thing to do.
