My sincere (very late) condolence to Jane’s extended family and friends. I worked in Jane’s office for a few months as a secretary. It was an interesting experience for me. She was a wonderful person.

My daughter and I had the opportunity to get to know Jane over the past few months doing errands for her. I can not say how happy I am to have had the opportunity to know her. She had the best sense of humor and always made us laugh. She was so kind and wonderful to my daughter, who saw Jane as another "Grandma" She would keep a special bag of cookies for Zoe to have a snack whenever we stopped over. I was so sad to hear of her passing...she will be missed.

I met Jane Hollander in 1975 when I started working in the Development Department at Monmouth Medical Center. She took me under her wing and became my mentor. Jane taught me to spot a misplaced modifier and to appreciate the beauty of a well-turned phrase. I always teased Jane about her celebration of holidays, which I described as "eclectic." Although she was Jewish, she celebrated Easter (loved bunnies) and Christmas (loved Santa), along with all the rest of us. We had stayed in touch over the past 25 years. She was a true gem and I will miss her. Condolences to the Hollander family and to her dear and faithful friend, Mary Heinle.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I live in Los Angeles, so Jane and I had lost touch. However, two years ago we had the most wonderful conversation and caught up, and she shared so much of our family history. We really connected, and I'm so sad she's gone. I was looking forward to seeing her over the holidays. Jane was a wonderful lady and will be missed.
