Jane Yao Tang, 102, of Fort Lee, passed away early Wednesday morning surrounded by her family.
Jane was born and raised in China, she graduated from college there and in the 1940’s she and her family came to America. They started here originally in Pittsburg but ultimately moved to Manhattan, where Jane would go on to attend Columbia University. Following her graduation, she took a job at the United Nations International School in NYC where she would remain until her retirement.
Jane loved to play Mahjong with her friends, entertaining guests in her home and she and her husband were very charitable giving as much as they could to the arts and education programs. Jane always said the key to life is eating whatever you wanted.
Jane is survived by her Nephew William Chuang and his wife Jinny; and her great-nieces and nephews Ann Woon and her husband Colon and their daughter Ava; Brooke, Christopher, Donald, Erica and Frida.
